Ahead of Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again, Disney has just revealed one of the coolest pieces of merch for the series. Many movies and shows, especially those about superheroes, promise to make you feel like you’re the character you’re watching on screen. But Disney is taking things one step further for Daredevil: Born Again, as fans can now dress like Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox), while feeling like Daredevil, while watching Daredevil (that’s a lot of Daredevils!).

Per Disney’s official online store, the company has released a full-size replica Daredevil mask. The mask appears to be based on Matt Murdock’s second costume from the original Daredevil series, which makes a return in Born Again. The mask comes on a stand, with the classic Daredevil logo engraved on the base. The Daredevil: Born Again replica mask currently retails for $79.99. However, we wouldn’t recommend trying to watch Daredevil: Born Again with the mask on, as one review has pointed out that, in the spirit of Daredevil, the eyeholes are opaque and are not see-through.

Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ on March 5, 2025. Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock in the series, after making his MCU debut back in Spider-Man: No Way Home, in 2021. Murdock had a cameo in last year’s Echo, and, more controversially, in She-Hulk in 2022. However, Born Again‘s showrunner, Dario Scardapane, says Born Again will forget the events of She-Hulk. Cox is joined by several of his former co-stars from the original Daredevil series, including Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle / The Punisher), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), the latter of which has also already reprized the role several times in the MCU.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Will be Even Darker Than the Original Series

Marvel’s tenure on Netflix, which also included shows like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher, The Defenders, and Iron Fist, gave the studio a platform to tell darker stories. While the MCU was predominantly family friendly, every one of the Netflix shows was rated TV-MA (with The Punisher pushing some international age ratings even further). Fans were concerned that Daredevil: Born Again would tone down the graphic violence and dark themes from the original series — especially as some fans had already taken issue with the MCU’s handling of Wilson Fisk. But, Born Again appears to be pushing boundaries even further.

“It feels like a hybrid of a season four and a season one,” said Charlie Cox.

“This show has had the success that it’s had and has appealed to a very specific demographic because it’s one of the few superhero shows that is so dark and sinister at times,” Charlie Cox said when discussing how the original Daredevil compares to the new series.Vincent and I both felt like if you lose that, you are at risk of losing the identity of our show. So we really pushed for the show to remain geared towards an older audience and not dumbed down to kind of capture a wider net of people.”
